Focus on Cardiac Imaging

DHZC experts are putting together a special issue on the added value of MRI, CT, and other imaging modalities.

Cardiac imaging is one of the most dynamic fields in cardiology. Modern techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and PET enable increasingly precise diagnostics and help in the targeted planning of treatments.

This development is the focus of the new special issue of the journal Cardio News on the topic “Cardio Focus: Cardiac Imaging—The Added Value of MRI, CT, and More,” which has just been published. Experts from the German Heart Center at Charité (DHZC) and Charité, together with other cardiologists from Germany and abroad, played a key role in shaping this issue.

Particularly noteworthy is the broad participation of researchers from the DHZC across all three campuses and from the Charité Campus Berlin-Buch. In this way, the publication highlights the center’s cross-campus scientific expertise and strengthens its visibility in German cardiovascular medicine.

The special issue covers the following topics, among others:
