Paediatric intensive care at the DHZC
At the DHZC, paediatric intensive care nurses (formally "paediatric intensive care nurses") play a central role in the care of children with heart disease. We work in a highly specialised, interdisciplinary team and are there for our patients around the clock.

Familiarisation in the paediatric intensive care unit
Cardiac medicine at the highest level requires top care. That's why we take a lot of time for a good induction programme. We provide each nurse with a detailed induction concept with an induction manual. In our intensive care unit, new employees are trained for at least eight weeks.

Training - the direct route to us
Interested parties can complete generalist nursing training at the DHZB Academy as well as nursing training with a paediatric specialisation. The training lasts three years and allows you to gain a lot of practical experience in paediatric care at the DHZC.
