Follow-up treatment and aftercare

We continue to treat some patients after the operation at our partner hospital, the Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus. Specialised wards are available here under the direction of doctors from the Charité German Heart Centre.

If rehabilitation is required following your treatment, we will be happy to organise this during your stay. We work closely with all outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation facilities for patients of all ages in Berlin and Brandenburg.

Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus

Modern specialised clinic

The Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus is a modern specialist clinic for the cardiological follow-up care of patients after an operation. Unless there are medical reasons not to do so, some of our patients are treated in the specialised wards of the Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus after their operation and the subsequent intensive care phase. Patients remain here until they are discharged home or receive follow-up treatment. Some of our pre-inpatients are also treated at the Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus before their operation. On our wards at the Paulinenkrankenhaus, you will be treated by doctors from the Charité German Heart Centre and by doctors who have been trained in our clinic according to the medical guidelines of Medical Director Prof. Dr Volkmar Falk.

Close co-operation

Charité's German Heart Centre has been working closely with the Sana Paulinenkrankenhaus since 1995. The treatment processes at both hospitals are closely networked so that all patients receive the best possible care.
