Medical-technical professions at the DHZC
Our medical-technical experts support the therapy of acutely ill patients in all areas of cardiac medicine. For example, cardiotechnicians are employed at the DHZC in the cardiac surgery operating theatre, in the intensive care unit and in other inpatient areas. Among other things, they control the heart-lung machine and work with systems for medium- to long-term circulatory support, with pacemakers and defibrillators.
The work of our imaging colleagues helps to ensure that cardiovascular diseases can be detected early and treated appropriately. They work in the fields of MRI, CT and X-ray. The team is interdisciplinary and works closely with our doctors. As all-rounders in the healthcare sector, they also make an important contribution to medical research.
