Corporate Development, Transformation and PMO

Healthcare is evolving dynamically - be it in terms of digitalisation, the development of outpatient services, changed or new treatment methods and the management of scarce resources. In order to be well prepared for this change, projects and initiatives to change clinical and clinical-administrative processes and structures are bundled in the Corporate Development, Transformation and PMO department. The aim is to improve quality and efficiency and thus generally optimise the provision of services in all clinics and areas of the DHZC. Corporate Development works closely with all clinical, nursing, scientific and administrative staff at the DHZC and Charité.
Our tasks and areas of activity range from the conception and implementation of structural and organisational changes, the implementation of process changes in clinical, administrative and infrastructural areas to supporting the divisional board in matters of portfolio management and resource allocation. The division is also responsible for planning and implementing measures as part of the Hospital Future Fund. In all digitalisation projects, we work closely with the Digital Innovation Unit (DIU), the Chief Medical Information Officer of the DHZC, the Chief Information Officer of the DHZC and Charité's IT division.
In addition, the DHZC Project Management Office (DHZC-PMO) provides the methodological platform for project management at the DHZC, evaluates and prioritises project plans in coordination with the Divisional Board and advises all colleagues on questions relating to the planning and implementation of projects.
Prof Dr Gerhard Hindricks (Director of the Department of Cardiology, Angiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Charité Campus Mitte) heads the division as Chief Integration Officer of the DHZC.
Alexander Heinz and Rebecca Lange are in charge of Corporate Development, Transformation and PMO and play a leading role in the strategic planning and implementation of change processes as well as the sustainable further development of the DHZC.
