Diagnosis of heart disease by teams of experts
- Carrying out specialised tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms (cardiac ultrasound), stress tests, Holter monitoring (long-term ECG) and cardiac catheter examinations
- Detection and diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias, coronary heart disease, heart failure, heart valve defects and other cardiological diseases
Treatment and management
- Prescribing and adjusting medication for the treatment of heart disease
- Performing minimally invasive procedures such as angioplasty and stent implantation
- Monitoring and managing risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes
Aftercare and rehabilitation
- Follow-up examinations for patients who have undergone cardiological procedures or operations
- Development and monitoring of rehabilitation programmes that include exercise therapy, nutritional advice and lifestyle changes to promote recovery and prevent future heart disease
Preventive measures
- Carrying out preventive examinations for the early detection of cardiovascular risks
- Counselling and education on healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition, physical activity and stress management to prevent heart disease

- Provision of specialised expertise by professionals who are fully trained in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases
- Access to the latest technologies and advanced treatment methods
Coordinated supply
- Close collaboration with other medical specialities to ensure holistic care, especially for patients with complex or multiple health problems
- Coordinating referrals to specialised cardiac surgeons or other specialists when more complex interventions are required
Patient education and support
- Providing information and training for patients and their families to promote a better understanding of the disease and the necessary treatment and prevention measures
- Helping patients cope with fears and worries associated with heart disease through counselling and psychological support

Patient management at the DHZC
Patient management at the DHZC is responsible for all elective (i.e. planned) patient admissions, transfers and discharges. The patient managers are your main point of contact when it comes to scheduling and preparing for your planned stay at the DHZC. They ensure that the planning process runs as quickly and smoothly as possible for you.
