The Deutsches Herzzentrum derr Charité (DHZC) is a specialist clinic for cardiovascular diseases in Berlin. It comprises seven clinics and an institute and is one of the largest heart centres in Europe. In interdisciplinary and interprofessional, highly specialised teams, we treat patients of all ages with cardiovascular diseases of all degrees of severity - around the clock.
We operate the world's largest artificial heart programme in terms of case numbers and are one of the leading German centres for heart and lung transplantation. We are also an international leader in the treatment of complex congenital heart defects, particularly in newborns and infants. In the catheter-based treatment of heart valve diseases, we combine our surgical and cardiological expertise in interdisciplinary heart teams. We are also committed to the continuous progress of cardiovascular medicine through intensive research and teaching.
