For relatives of our patients

For relatives accompanying patients who do not live in Berlin, it is often important to be close to their loved ones. We offer a total of three accommodation options close to the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité: The Axel Springer Guest House, the Ronald McDonald House for parents whose children are being treated in our clinic and the Charité Virchow Guest House on the Virchow-Klinikum campus.

The Axel Springer Guest House is located directly next to the German Heart Centre of the Charité on the Virchow-Klinikum campus and is centrally located in Berlin. Our guest house is easy to reach by public transport, car or taxi. With our single, double and partly wheelchair-accessible triple rooms, we offer you overnight accommodation in a pleasant atmosphere.

Our rooms are available especially for patients from out of town, their relatives and visitors to the clinic so that they can be close to their family and friends. We also welcome guests attending Charité events such as training courses and work shadowing programmes.

Your room will be available from 14:00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, you can use your room until 11:00 a.m.

Our reception staff are available for you from 06:30 - 22:00.

The Ronald McDonald House is a home for parents whose children are being treated in our clinic. It offers parents and relatives particularly favourable accommodation close to their children. For parents of underage children who do not live in Berlin, we endeavour to provide free accommodation for an accompanying person. The house has 34 flats. Since 1998, over 500 families have found a temporary home here every year.

The team at the Virchow Guest House has been welcoming national and international patients, relatives, congress participants, Charité employees and external visitors for more than ten years.

You will stay in modern, spacious and comfortably furnished single or double rooms. The room rate includes breakfast in our bistro as well as accommodation.

Your room will be available from 14:00 on the day of arrival. Outside reception hours, you can obtain your key card from the porter / Seestraße entrance. On the day of departure you can use your room until 11:00 am.
