The nursing staff make a significant contribution here, whether in the operating theatre or on the intensive care ward. Our patients are cared for before and after the operation in the nursing wards of the Department of Congenital Heart Disease.

Competent paediatricians, intensive care physicians and paediatric cardiologists work hand in hand to provide our patients with the best possible care. Highly specialised paediatric cardiac surgeons and anaesthetists are also available around the clock. The nursing staff provide our patients with individualised care at the highest level and with great care and attention.

On the Intensive care unit of the Department of Congenital Heart Disease, more than 600 children and adults are treated here every year. Parents are always welcome as they help the children to become more familiar with the hospital environment.
