Paediatric cardiac surgery outpatient clinic
An outpatient clinic is often the first point of contact for patients who are suddenly confronted with the diagnosis of a heart defect. Our aim is to ensure that our patients receive the best possible medical care and to address their personal concerns and questions. We will be happy to advise you in detail about the planned procedure in our outpatient clinic.
We also offer prenatal consultations for parents who receive a diagnosis of a heart defect in their child during pregnancy. It is also possible to obtain a second opinion from us on the treatment of complex heart defects.
In order to be able to advise you properly, we need all of your current findings, including the image data from the last cardiac ultrasound. If further examinations such as a cardiac catheterisation, CT or MRI have already been carried out, please also provide us with these findings and image data. After reviewing the documents and existing examinations, the findings are then discussed with the various specialists in our weekly interdisciplinary case conference. We will then discuss our recommendations with you.
