The acute rhythmology consultation is primarily intended as a short-term counselling service following an emergency room presentation.
Times: Friday 8:00 - 13:00
During the women's consultation, pregnant women with pre-existing cardiac conditions or new cardiac symptoms are cared for.
Pregnant women with pregnancy-associated illnesses (peripartum cardiomyopathy, gestational hypertension and diabetes) receive follow-up care, and women with cardiac illnesses (coronary heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias) are cared for as needed.
Times: Tuesday 8:00 - 14:00
Appointments can be made for, among other things:
- congenital and acquired heart defects
- heart attack
- condition after bypass surgery
- heart valve disease
- interventional heart valve replacement

- pulmonary hypertension
- therapy-refractory hypertension
Times: Monday and Friday 8:00 − 14:00
As part of the Amyloidosis Centre, the Amyloidosis Clinic provides care for patients with cardiac amyloidosis and initiates comprehensive diagnostics for patients suspected of having amyloidosis.
Times: In consultation with Gunnar Fiß, T: +49 30 450 617 435
Times: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8:00 - 14:00
The cardio-oncology clinic provides treatment and follow-up care for patients suffering from cardiotoxic side effects as a result of tumour therapy.
Times: by appointment
Patients with heart valve diseases are evaluated in our valve clinic and prepared for interventions or monitored for their progress.
Times: Thursday 8:00 − 14:00
Cardiogenetics of inherited cardiac arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies
The cardiogenetics consultation addresses the treatment and molecular genetic diagnosis of inherited forms of cardiac arrhythmias (e.g. QT syndromes, Brugada syndrome, familialatrial fibrillation) and heart muscle diseases (e.g. hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathy) as well as unexplained cases of sudden cardiac death (including counselling of relatives).
These diseases are discussed, diagnosed and treated during the consultation:
Inherited cardiac arrhythmias
- Long QT syndrome
- Short QT syndrome
- Brugada syndrome
- Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia
- Idiopathic ventricular fibrillation
- Familial cardiac sinus node dysfunction and conduction disorders
- Familial atrial fibrillation
Cardiomyopathies
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (including all phenocopies)
- Dilated cardiomyopathy (primary and secondary forms)
- Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia
- Non-dilated left ventricular cardiomyopathy
- Malignant mitral valve prolapse syndrome
The consultation is suitable for:
- patients who already have or are suspected of having one of the aforementioned diseases and for whom a molecular genetic examination may be considered;
- relatives of patients with one of the above-mentioned diseases for whom a molecular genetic examination (e.g. cascade screening) may be recommended;
- patients with one of the above-mentioned diseases who have already had molecular genetic diagnostics several years ago and who would like a re-evaluation of their findings in light of new scientific knowledge.
Head: Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Haverkamp
Times: Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Appointments: via the outpatient clinic, T. +49 30 450 513 150
The angiological consultation, together with the angiological functional diagnostics including Doppler sonography, is the point of contact for patients with vascular diseases, which we can treat comprehensively with both medication and interventional procedures.
Monday - Friday: 9:00 - 15:00
Appointments can be made by calling: T: +49 30 450 513 117
Furthermore, we try to enable you to spend as much time as possible outside the hospital, at home. For this reason, we see a large proportion of patients for whom inpatient admission is planned in the pre-admission clinic. Here, the anamnesis, physical examination, blood sampling and patient education take place on an outpatient basis, so that the planned examinations and interventions can be carried out on the day of admission and you can sleep one more night at home in your own bed.
Times: By appointment
