More about the Berlin/Brandenburg region aortic hotline
The Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité is the centre with the most experience and the most procedures per year for the treatment of acute aortic dissections in the Berlin / Brandenburg region. With a catchment area of over six million inhabitants, this is a major responsibility. The pre-hospital management of aortic emergencies is an important component in the care of affected patients. There is a lot to organise in advance until the patients arrive at the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité. A central hotline for aortic emergencies has been set up for the region specifically for this purpose. The aortic hotline team is staffed around the clock by experienced specialists, provides referring colleagues with important information on the treatment of aortic emergencies and organises the further process up to surgical treatment.
