Nursing training with the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité
A career with heart and soul: learn the nursing profession at a university heart centre
The generalist nursing training at the DHZB Academy is conducted in close collaboration with our experts at the DHZC and focuses on inpatient acute care. Here you will learn all the crucial skills and competencies that you need as a nurse to provide our patients with the best possible care.
We know how important interpersonal interaction on the ward is for the success of our patients' treatment. That is why nursing training at the DHZB Academy is characterised by close supervision by experienced teachers and a particularly large number of practical components on cardiac wards.
Practical training at the DHZC
Each trainee is assigned to a permanent member of staff, often from the team of practical instructors. In an initial meeting, the level of knowledge and learning objectives are discussed together. At the ‘halfway point’ there is an interim meeting to review progress and explore possible improvements. At the final meeting, the internship is evaluated together.
Of course, our trainees are always assigned to work with trained nursing staff. Our goal is for you to be able to work as independently as possible as quickly as possible. Of course, a teacher is always on hand to provide help and advice.
