The international leadership position of the German Heart Institute Berlin in the development and application of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging led to the founding of the CMR Academy in 2001. Here we offer a wide range of individually tailored CMR courses for radiologists, cardiologists and nuclear medicine specialists from all over the world. Our courses are conducted by specialists from our clinic and by guest physicians from renowned clinics.

To date, more than 1,000 German and international participants have attended and successfully completed our CMR courses. The courses are certified by the Academy of the German Society of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the Berlin Medical Association.
 

Course programme

Compact course

One week, max. 15 participants

The compact course includes more than 15 hours of theory as well as practical examinations of patients, including dobutamine stress examinations and perfusion imaging. A wide range of cases are presented and discussed.

Complete course level 2

Three months, max. five participants

This course is aimed at physicians who want to set up their own cardiovascular MR examination programme. After successful completion, you will understand the physical principles of CMR and be able to independently perform and evaluate a wide range of examinations.

Comprehensive course Level 3

Duration of at least one year, only available on individual request.
