At the DHZC, we live and promote diversity. We are committed to equal rights, equal opportunities and respectful cooperation. We know that diversity has many dimensions and, as an employer, we want to create the conditions for managers and employees to be able to live these values at the DHZC.
We recognise our strengths, but also our weaknesses. By signing the ‘Charta der Vielfalt’, we are committed to continuously creating a respectful working environment for all employees - regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social background.

The Charta der Vielfalt
The Charta der Vielfalt promotes the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work.
By signing it, companies and institutions commit to respecting all employees equally. To date, around 5,500 organisations with a total of around 15 million employees have signed the Charta der Vielfalt.

We live diversity
Around 2,100 employees of 76 different nationalities and faiths work for the DHZC. Together, they provide care for patients of all ages with cardiovascular diseases of all degrees of severity 365 days a year. Around 20 per cent of our workforce is under 30 years old, 27 per cent over 50. 68 per cent of our employees are women.
Together with our employees, we take innovative paths and seek new approaches to continuously promote and shape diversity at the DHZC.
