Information for patients with a ventricular assist device
For patients with a ventricular assist device (also known as a ventricular assist pump, ventricular assist device ‘VAD’ or ‘Assist’ for short) who are being treated at the DHZC, we have created a brochure with the most important information. The new building for the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité
The new building for the DHZC at the Virchow-Klinikum campus in Berlin is due to be completed by 2028. On 17 floors and a usable area of around 30,000 square metres, 20 state-of-the-art operating theatres, hybrid operating theatres and cardiac catheterisation laboratories as well as around 320 patient beds are planned. In the brochure, we present the current plans and show visualisations by the architectural firm wörner traxler richter.
