Study centre
The DHZC study centre supports scientists and physicians working in research with administrative and organisational tasks and coordinates the research projects. This creates the necessary freedom for the researchers to concentrate fully on their scientific tasks.
In the run-up to the study, the team's tasks include checking the legal classification of the project, supporting the preparation of application documents for submission to official bodies and the preparation of funding applications through to the drafting and monitoring of contracts, including budget preparation and monitoring. To ensure that the study runs smoothly and in accordance with the study protocol, the study centre organises information events during the course of a study, coordinates examinations of patients and documents the required data in accordance with the protocol. Once the study has been completed, the data obtained must be statistically analysed and published, mainly in English.
Management

DZHK Study Centre
The German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK)is a publicly funded institution that has set itself the goal of making new research findings available to all patients as quickly as possible. It also aims to improve the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. To this end, the centre funds clinical studies.
As one of the DZHK clinics at the Berlin site and as a certified ‘DZHK Study Centre’, the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité itself initiates clinical studies funded by the DZHK and also participates in various other DZHK studies.
